Collection: Moonstone
The moonstone has been used in jewelry since the time of ancient civilizations. This translucent kaleidoscope-like stone, with otherworldly rainbow flashes of light from different angles has long held observers in awe. The Romans believed it was an actual solidified ray of light from the moon. The Greeks attached the stone to their lunar gods and goddesses as well.
More recently artisans of the art nouveau period, at the turn of the 20th century, created large quantities of jewelry with the moonstone.
